Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement across the stack: backend, frontend, the IDE extension, and conversion logic in Python or other adopted languages.
  • •Ship features against the spec using agents as the default implementation tool and write the spec themselves for simpler, well-bounded features with review.
  • •Become a modernisation specialist by mapping Informatica, SSIS, Talend and IICS objects onto dbt, Fivetran and data warehouses.
  • •Demonstrate a working understanding of the code they merge, explain every line, and catch plausible-but-wrong output or drift from the spec.
  • •Write tests from the acceptance criteria first and maintain a log of agent failure modes for the backlog.

Key Requirements

  • •1-5 years of software engineering experience or a strong portfolio of self-directed projects
  • •Proficiency in Python and ability to write/read code across the stack, including frontend work and an IDE extension, with the ability to explain every line
  • •Experience with agentic tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent) and working in a governed codebase with PR reviews
  • •Data fundamentals: SQL and understanding of data transformation concepts; exposure to dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake or Databricks is a plus
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
