Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide senior PMC HSE leadership and drive a proactive “Zero Harm” safety culture across project participants.
  • •Implement the PMC HSE assurance strategy with independent oversight of EPC contractor HSE performance, including audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up.
  • •Lead HSE oversight for brownfield SIMOPS activities, ensuring interface risks are identified/mitigated and permit-to-work, isolation, and energy control systems are effective.
  • •Oversee high-risk construction, operational interface, and critical activities (e.g., heavy lifting, working at height, hot work, lockout-tagout, energization) and verify controls throughout execution.
  • •Oversee environmental compliance and assurance, incident management/investigations, occupational health and wellbeing monitoring, and emergency preparedness for commissioning/start-up readiness.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum 20 years of HSE experience on major industrial projects and minimum 10 years of construction-related HSE experience.
  • •Proven site leadership experience on large capital projects, including metallurgical/smelting, mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or other heavy industrial projects.
  • •Experience managing HSE during SIMOPS activities and brownfield project experience is essential.
  • •Professional HSE certifications/credentials such as NEBOSH Diploma, GradIOSH/CMIOSH, CSP, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, and incident investigation certification are preferred.
