Job Summary

Lead Notion's central QA team to elevate product quality across platforms by defining a scalable QA roadmap, CI/CD quality gates, and risk-based testing. Partner with Engineering, Product, Design and Support to increase shipping velocity while reducing escapes. Drive AI-assisted test generation and automation, and build a highly automated QA organization with measurable quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead Notion’s central QA team and own the QA roadmap, setting ownership and quality standards that scale across Notion.
•Build and evolve CI/CD quality gates aligned to reliability/quality goals and improve early detection to maintain shipping velocity.
•Define and roll out QA automation frameworks and AI-assisted tests to generate high-signal tests and automate detection, triage, and fixes.
•Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Design, Support and other teams to ensure unified quality standards and ownership.

Key Requirements

•Experience leading QA teams and owning a QA roadmap focused on measurable quality outcomes.
•Strong QA-first mindset with an software engineering orientation (roughly 70% QA / 30% engineering) – able to set standards and also build/ship the systems that enforce them.
•Outcome ownership: focuses on measurable product quality improvements (risk reduction, fewer escapes, higher confidence) rather than “tools” or checklist-driven QA work; strong judgment for where risk is building and how to catch it early.
•Strong grasp of CI/CD and how automated test suites run, fail, and gate releases in practice.
•Comfortable with our QA automation stack and eager to learn/level it up; able to evaluate alternatives and propose pragmatic improvements.
