Job Summary

Lead the full pre-sales and deal process for Aalyria’s laser communications and temporospatial networking platforms. You’ll report to the Head of Commercial Sales, run live demos, respond to RFPs, and guide opportunities from discovery through close across aerospace, defense, and 5G NTN. Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to translate customer network architectures into actionable solution requirements and roadmap insights.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the full pre-sales journey from qualification through technical validation and handoff, aligning customer requirements to Aalyria’s value proposition.
•Lead strategic technical discovery sessions; analyze prospect network architectures and operational requirements and translate them into solution requirements.
•Run live demos and guide customer-facing sales activities through discovery and close for complex deals.
•Maintain competitive positioning using battlecards and differentiated messaging based on technical and market trends.
•Serve as the bridge between the field and Engineering/Product by translating customer feedback and technical trends into prioritized roadmap inputs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 145,000 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7+ years in sales, business development, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or an equivalent customer-facing technical role in B2B deep-tech/hard science.
•Excellent written and verbal communication; can explain complex technical concepts to engineering and executive audiences and produce strong proposals/technical writing.
•Strong understanding of the B2B sales process to advance and close complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
•Ability to understand and discuss complex technical systems, evaluate trade-offs and risks, and identify opportunities; familiarity with networked/distributed platforms is valued.
•Comfort managing multiple concurrent engagements, prioritizing independently, and structuring ambiguous situations.
