Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical strategy for the production, aligned with creative goals, and ensure components meet and push beyond production standards.
  • •Partner with director and creative leadership to understand key creative drivers and convert creative goals into clear technical direction for the show.
  • •Guide Associate Technical Supervisors and TDs, prioritizing the right problems at the right time, and provide escalation support for complex cross-departmental issues.
  • •Drive pipeline improvements and contribute to scalable, studio-wide pipeline development and workflows.
  • •Collaborate with technical project managers and production to scope technical needs, assess risks and inefficiencies, propose solutions, and ensure schedules and resources are appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of supervisory experience on large-scale animated features, animated TV series, and/or VFX feature films, demonstrated via prior project work or portfolio.
  • •Proven ability to implement technical solutions to creative problems, with advanced knowledge of rendering workflows and full animation pipeline development.
  • •Strong technical skills, including Python or scripting, plus advanced knowledge of DCCs such as Maya, Houdini, Mari, and Nuke, and production tracking tools like FlowPT.
  • •Effective leadership with excellent verbal and written communication and strong collaboration skills.
  • •Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage work across multiple areas with strong attention to detail, balancing quick turnaround with long-term quality; degree desirable but not required.
