Job Summary

Own and build the procurement and spend-management function, ensuring vendor relationships deliver value through disciplined, transparent, automation-first sourcing, vendor management, and contract governance. Lead strategic sourcing and commercial negotiations, manage vendor and SaaS lifecycles, and run third-party risk and contract lifecycles with audit-ready documentation. Govern outbound spend with clear policies and automated approvals while partnering with FP&A to improve spend visibility for consumption-based cloud and AI costs.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and own n8n’s procurement and spend-management function using an automation-first approach.
•Own vendor-request intake and selection, and lead commercial negotiations for strategic spend including consumption-based cloud and AI commitments.
•Manage the vendor portfolio across onboarding, performance, renewal, consolidation, and offboarding; reduce SaaS sprawl and address shadow IT/shadow AI.
•Run contract lifecycle and third-party risk processes, including negotiation, routing legal/security/privacy reviews, storage, and obligation tracking.
•Create spend governance and visibility via policies, approval thresholds, automated approvals/alerts/reporting, and FP&A partnership for budget and actuals.

Key Requirements

•Build or rebuild a procurement or spend-management function, not just operate an existing one.
•Deep experience in sourcing, vendor management, category strategy, and contracts, ideally in a fast-scaling technology or SaaS environment.
•Independently review and negotiate commercial agreements, including consumption-based cloud or AI spend.
•Bring strong spend-ownership discipline for approvals, commitments, monitoring, and reporting.
•Convert ambiguous manual workflows into scalable processes, using AI and automation (including n8n).
