Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to, analyze, and optimize the performance of the core ClickHouse database, including topics such as query optimization, distributed query optimization, relational operators, caching, and low-level optimizations like SIMD instructions
  • •Extend existing and add new performance tests based on real-world or synthetic datasets to ensure long-term performance stability
  • •Serve as a resource for the Support Engineering team, helping to debug advanced performance issues, including on-call rotation and participation in external community channels
  • •Collaborate with other teams to assess the impact of new features on performance and reliability
  • •Engage with the open-source community by resolving issues, reviewing and finishing PRs, and answering questions across various channels

Key Requirements

  • •Proven professional software development experience in C++ with Unix/Linux systems
