Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and construction management for transportation and infrastructure projects in the Albuquerque, NM area. Supervise construction inspection and testing, coordinate construction services staff, and ensure work is managed against contract documents, plans, and specifications. Review pay applications, change orders, submittals, and shop drawings, monitor quality control/assurance field testing, and direct project staff activities including inspectors and laboratory technicians.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and construction engineering/construction management for complex projects or programs.
•Supervise construction inspection and testing activities and coordinate the work of Construction Services staff.
•Manage, coordinate, and supervise projects in accordance with contract documents, plans, and specifications (Federal, State, Municipal, and Tribal).
•Verify and review project documentation for acceptance, including pay applications, change orders, submittals, and shop drawings.
•Monitor quality control/assurance field testing and direct field measurements, quantity reports, and inspector daily reporting.

Key Requirements

•BSCE degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology).
•Minimum 7 years of directly relevant experience, including Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, or related roles.
•Licensed professional engineer in New Mexico or ability to become licensed in NM within 3 months of hire.
•Demonstrated ability to read and completely understand contract documents.
•Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and materials.
