Key Responsibilities

•Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for Fleet sailors in support of the Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, Virginia.
•Conducts traditional classroom instruction and supports tactical lab training to build operational proficiency.
•Provides subject matter expertise in curriculum development for ATRC courses supporting operational employment of the Aegis Combat System.
•Delivers dynamic teaching and assessment, reviews Navy doctrine, and optimizes doctrine execution for ship and aircraft systems in tactical environments.
•Conducts training gap analyses, updates course content, and creates evaluation criteria to measure training effectiveness.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.
•Three (3) years of experience with the applicable system or process as either a maintenance technician manager or operator manager with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a master level training environment; experience in surface, subsurface, integrated air and missile defense, Strike, or C4I required.
•Two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum maintenance, learning objectives, test item preparation, instructional material evaluation, and student counseling.
•Secret clearance is required; US Citizenship required.
•Ability to travel up to 10% and be located at Aegis Training and Readiness Center, Dahlgren VA.
