Job Summary

Deliver senior-level network engineering for Atos Public Safety’s Next-Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) voice environment. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers/switches with SD-WAN and VXLAN to meet strict uptime goals, participate in NG911 planning and architecture processes, and maintain high availability through redundancy and proactive maintenance. Provide 2nd/3rd level incident support, enforce network security policies, and produce technical documentation while supporting on-call rotations.

Key Responsibilities

•Configure Cisco routers/switches, SD-WAN, and VXLAN based on designs and standards for a voice environment.
•Participate in network planning, engineering, and architecture processes for NG9-1-1 deployments.
•Provide 2nd/3rd level support for incidents and service requests, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
•Maximize network performance and availability through monitoring, proactive maintenance, redundancy, and failover configurations.
•Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing network security policies, documenting designs, and maintaining system configuration documentation.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of network engineering experience implementing and maintaining geographically dispersed networks.
•Deep knowledge and experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco routing/switching platforms, and VXLAN in IPv4 and IPv6 environments.
•Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches to predefined standards in a voice environment to ensure high uptime.
•5+ years of network security experience including firewalls and threat mitigation, plus working knowledge of security frameworks like NIST, CIS, or NENA.
•Provide on-call technical support after hours and on weekends as needed.
