Job Summary

Perform a range of hands-on duties on asphalt paving projects, including assisting the paving crew with site preparation, material placement, and traffic control setup. Operate select hand and power tools and help with equipment coordination, such as signaling operators for alignment and movement. Key Responsibilities

•Perform various duties on paving projects, transferring between tasks as required by the job.
•Use hand and power tools, and assist with general labor tasks like cleaning and preparing sites.
•Help with material digging, spreading, leveling, and lifting/carrying items, tools, and supplies.
•Assist with placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
•Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation and handle daily equipment maintenance while reporting repair needs.

•Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials placement with a shovel.
•Follow daily direction from the Paving Foreman for each project/jobsite.
•Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with required documentation and maintain equipment in proper working order.
