Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time along required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment as needed; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license (depending on state/vehicle weight).
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; remain focused in a busy environment.
