Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full accountability and management of aircraft Maintenance Operations, Maintenance Support, and/or Maintenance Workshop areas with direct control and oversight of a multidisciplinary team.
  • •Lead maintenance delivery to the customer on time, to budget, and to first-time quality standards, including day-to-day monitoring and coordination of operational teams.
  • •Implement and maintain an MRP 145 Production team and ensure adherence to the plan/schedule.
  • •Engage with BDUK Supply Chain, Production Service Engineers, CAMO, Commercial, and Programme to deliver aircraft and/or component maintenance.
  • •Lead continuous improvement, respond to quality and safety deficiencies with corrective actions/documentation changes, and report output-focused metrics to Operations leadership and Programme Management.

Key Requirements

  • •Fluent written and spoken English.
  • •At least one year of experience in a leadership role (e.g., team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager) or completion of Boeing’s internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • •Demonstrable experience of aircraft maintenance operations in a UK Defence or commercial context.
  • •Knowledge to lead and oversee maintenance staff using technical and human factors (HF) against industry and organizational requirements.
  • •Working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, and aviation Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
