Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead day-to-day project management and technical delivery for a portfolio of UK Local Government road schemes.
  • •Act as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering approaches to complex and unique design challenges.
  • •Ensure projects meet agreed budget, programme, and technical standards, and remain compliant with QA, CDM, Sustainability, and HSE obligations.
  • •Manage project risks, technical issues, and interface challenges to enable timely and cost-effective resolution.
  • •Lead, supervise, and mentor up to 15 technical staff and support resource planning, workload forecasting, and allocation.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Highway or Transportation Engineering (or related field).
  • •Over 15 years of Highway Engineering experience with significant leadership responsibilities.
  • •Strong technical understanding of relevant UK standards, design guidance, and legislation.
  • •Ability to direct and check work using key design software such as Civil 3D and OpenRoads.
  • •Professionally qualified with Chartered status/CEng or currently in the process of obtaining it.
