Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct surveys documenting power, cooling, bonding/grounding, pathways, and room readiness.
  • •Develop telecommunications room layout designs, including rack plans, cable management, grounding/bonding, electrical circuits, and equipment placement.
  • •Manage GDIT, agency, and subcontractor teams performing room buildouts, rack installation, cable routing, and grounding.
  • •Ensure compliance with UFC, TIA/EIA, I3A, and DOD telecommunications room standards.
  • •Coordinate with base civil engineering and support site installation of fiber, CAT6, WiFi, and CEL closet solutions while partnering with network, fiber optic, ISP, and OSP teams.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS (or equivalent) with 5+ years of related experience.
  • •4–7 years’ experience with telecommunications rooms, data center buildouts, or ISP infrastructure.
  • •Experience managing cabling, rack installation, or structured cabling teams.
  • •Knowledge of grounding/bonding, power specs, equipment standards, and room environmental requirements.
  • •Secret security clearance (must currently possess).
