Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform and act as domain CTO for what runs on POS devices.
  • •Build and govern platform pillars including developer experience, platform reliability/observability, foundational frameworks, and squad adoption.
  • •Define and enforce engineering standards across POS device types and OEM manufacturers to ensure architectural consistency and quality.
  • •Functionally lead POS engineers embedded across Payments, Onboarding, VAS, Savings, and Loans squads.
  • •Own POS observability end-to-end (monitoring, alerting, and incident response) and drive platform processes, tooling, and CI/CD improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 6+ years leading engineering teams through meaningful growth phases.
  • •Direct, hands-on experience building software that runs on Point-of-Sale terminal devices (application layer on the device).
  • •Strong knowledge of EMV standards and experience navigating payment certification processes such as PCI DSS and P2PE.
  • •Deep Android engineering expertise in Kotlin and Java for POS application development.
  • •Proven experience building internal engineering platforms (shared libraries, developer tooling, foundational frameworks) and governing/architecting across multiple POS device types and OEM manufacturers.
