Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying traffic laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals, and assist with loading/unloading goods and materials.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required documents) and deliver documentation upon completing routes.
  • •Facilitate routine truck service (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight to be operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds; capable of prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
