Job Summary

Design, analyze, simulate, and test non-isolated power conversion circuitry (buck, boost, buck-boost), including thermal considerations, using standard modules and discrete designs. Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation, perform work within schedule constraints, and present technical data reviews to program leadership and staff. Work within the System Power, Analog and Controls department on defense-critical power projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry using non-isolated topologies (buck, boost, buck-boost), including modules and discrete designs.
•Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.
•Perform design work within the bounds of an assigned schedule.
•Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff.

Key Requirements

•A degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
•At least 2 years of professional experience designing, analyzing, simulating, and/or testing linear converters.
•Experience with non-isolated converter topologies including buck, boost, and buck-boost.
•Experience with analog electronic design and analysis including FET, BJT, and/or op-amp circuits.
•Ability to design work within a given schedule and guide technical drawing creation through PWB layout.
