Key Responsibilities

  • •Attend daily review meetings to ensure the contractor’s construction plan aligns with design and planning for each work front.
  • •Review contractor construction records (advancement, geotechnical, probe drilling, ground monitoring, water inflow, and grouting) and provide technical sign-off for daily tunneling records.
  • •Review and technically approve tunneling/temporary works submittals including excavation progress, ventilation and drainage designs, MARs, RFIs, NCRs, FCD proposals, shop drawings, and as-builts.
  • •Conduct technical review and approval of contractor works, surveys, monitoring, and on-site records for tunnel support/stabilization measures.
  • •Where required, perform face-mapping for NATM tunnel advancement and review technical proposals for ground improvement grouting, rock dowels/rock bolts, and instrumentation/monitoring records.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering geology, tunnel engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • •More than 10 years’ experience on large infrastructure projects, preferably including major rail schemes with at least 5 years working in MEA.
  • •Proven experience delivering underground rail projects.
  • •In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and standards related to civil engineering in the rail industry.
  • •Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and solve technical challenges.
