Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and maintain iOS analytics event tracking following iOS best practices and platform guidelines.
  • •Translate event specs into instrumentation with product managers, analysts, and data engineers, ensuring iOS events meet agreed schemas and data contracts.
  • •Collaborate in an agile cross-functional team and support other ASOS iOS teams by reviewing pull requests and validating events via an inner source model.
  • •Investigate and resolve data quality issues (missing/incorrect properties or cross-platform discrepancies) and drive fixes to completion.
  • •Support iOS experimentation, including Optimizely SDK integration, experiment exposure/variant events, monitoring, and safe tracking changes through testing and maintainable code.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building iOS applications using Swift and core iOS frameworks.
  • •Experience integrating third-party SDKs into a production iOS app analytics/experimentation (e.g., Mixpanel, Optimizely) or strong willingness to pick it up.
  • •Understand how mobile events are batched, queued, and flushed, including trade-offs between data completeness, battery, and network performance.
  • •Knowledge of software design patterns/architecture and interest in designing instrumentation that is consistent and easy for other teams to adopt.
  • •Awareness of privacy and consent requirements for customer tracking on mobile, plus comfort debugging data and code payloads (SQL/Databricks familiarity is a bonus).
