Key Responsibilities

  • •Research, design, and develop nonlinear finite element analysis algorithms for multidisciplinary simulations within MSC Nastran and Marc.
  • •Develop, maintain, enhance, and test MSC Nastran/MARC and related software products.
  • •Implement, validate, and optimize linear and nonlinear solution capabilities within MSC Nastran/MARC.
  • •Support QA activities, including benchmarking, certification, validation, and release testing for product delivery.
  • •Provide technical guidance and participate in architecture reviews and design discussions for simulation capability improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Experience developing and implementing finite element analysis (FEA) software, including user subroutines for commercial FEA packages and numerical material models.
  • •Strong programming skills in Fortran and C/C++.
  • •Working knowledge of Linux shell scripting and Python.
  • •Experience with nonlinear solid mechanics analysis, including geometric nonlinearity, contact mechanics, and nonlinear material behavior.
