Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a globally distributed team of ~100 authorization operations professionals to deliver reliable 24/7 operational support.
  • •Own authorization operations for Visa Payment Products, delivering standardized, secure, highly available platform services with availability targets up to six nines.
  • •Partner with Product Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure Reliability Engineering to provide continuous operational support.
  • •Lead operational acceptance for onboarding products/services into production, ensuring readiness, risk mitigation, and clear operational ownership.
  • •Design and lead fully orchestrated operational workflows integrating observability, automation, AIOps, and incident management; reduce manual handoffs through standardized automated responses.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ with an advanced degree, or 8+ with a PhD).
  • •5+ years in software development and/or technology operations fundamentals such as observability, event management, and incident response/management.
  • •Leadership experience running mission-critical, real-time platforms at global scale, with direct accountability for 24x7 production operations.
  • •Experience operating with five- or six-nines availability expectations in environments requiring operational rigor.
  • •Working knowledge of Generative AI, AIOps, and automation concepts, including experience applying them to improve operational resilience and outcomes.
