Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to the architecture and implementation of backend systems for secure, scalable IoT infrastructure for connected EV fleets.
  • •Improve core cloud infrastructure including API design, database schema, service interactions, event handling, observability, and deployment workflows.
  • •Build data and API integrations with external services and partner platforms, including shared services like API gateways, caches, and schema upgrades.
  • •Strengthen platform security and privacy, including user authentication/authorization, and design systems for high availability and geographic redundancy.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years building and scaling back-end systems, including managing remote devices across the full lifecycle.
  • •Proven ability to design, ship, and operate production systems from scratch.
  • •Strong API and schema knowledge, including REST/GraphQL and data exchange via gRPC/JSON-RPC.
  • •Experience with event-driven architecture and message queueing (e.g., Kafka, Redis, SQS/SNS).
  • •Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML, mTLS) and familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP) and telemetry pipelines.
