Job Summary

Lead shift operations for the process plant control room, driving optimized performance across crushing, milling, flotation, and real-time instrumentation. You’ll ensure centralized communication between Process Plant, Mine Port, and TMF operations, maintain HSE standards, and manage production loss/event accountability. Coordinate integrated shutdowns, diagnose plant defects, and guide Plant Controllers and Shift Coordinators to improve macro KPIs and copper, molybdenum, and gold production.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain HSE standards and ensure strict compliance within the process plant, including managing the process plant HSE system.
•Provide centralized communication support across Process Plant, Mine Port, and TMF operations to improve production capability and compliance across departments.
•Own process plant control room functional accountability, optimizing control room personnel performance and macro plant performance.
•Develop and coordinate shift macro operating systems to maximize production, minimize costs, and ensure operational sustainability.
•Drive shift coordinators and control room teams to improve optimized copper, molybdenum, and gold production using real-time interaction, performance indicators, and corrective measures for defects/equipment failures.

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualification in extractive metallurgy, mineral processing, or a related field.
•Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical and/or operational roles in process operations within a multinational mining company.
•Experience with base metal crushing/milling and flotation circuits, including direct exposure to Cu, Mo, and Au flowsheets.
•Direct experience in Control Room operations and plant control philosophies, including optimization of continuous operating processing plants.
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Supervisory or Management role; fluency in English, with Spanish communication highly regarded.
