Key Responsibilities

  • •Run the day-to-day stores service: issue stock, maintain records, and manage new or redundant stock lines.
  • •Maintain customer stock lists and a web-based stock list, advising staff and students on store requirements and alternatives.
  • •Check that physical stock levels match computer records, monitor turnover, and facilitate annual stock-taking.
  • •Receive and process deliveries, including checking quantities against delivery notes, recording details, filing documentation, and arranging recipient collection.
  • •Ensure safe operation by following risk assessments, filing chemical data sheets, and working to COSHH assessments for stores items.

Key Requirements

  • •Good general education, probably to A level or equivalent professional experience.
  • •Demonstrable experience in a stores position involving dealing with people.
