Job Summary

Translate customer requirements into actionable AV system designs and detailed documentation. Collaborate with sales and Account Managers to explain solution concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, assess risks and site constraints, and produce accurate design packages with bills of materials and infrastructure plans. Support proposals with labor estimates and materials, then act as “design authority” during implementation to ensure feasibility and successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with Account Managers to understand customer requirements and translate them into functional system designs.
•Participate in client discussions to explain design concepts and demonstrate how proposed systems meet needs.
•Develop detailed system documentation, including bills of materials, conceptual block diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work.
•Assess project risks and account for site conditions, scheduling requirements, and dependencies in the design.
•Support project teams during implementation by providing technical input as the “design authority” as needed.

Salary: USD 67,000 - 92,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address risks effectively.
•Effective stakeholder communication to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•Experience working in cross-functional teams (sales, project managers, vendors) and managing priorities to meet deadlines.
•Proficiency in designing/configuring AV systems, including IP networking/AVoIP concepts and familiarity with AV/IT standards and tools (e.g., CAD, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu).
