Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the site and drawings to support drafting and design deliverables for substation physical and/or P&C design.
•Under minimal supervision, use 3D CAD software and collaborate with engineers to prepare precise drawings for projects of basic complexity.
•Provide technical design assistance applying geometric dimensioning, tolerances, and quantity calculations to ensure function and maintainability.
•Verify calculations and interpretations of plans, escalate discrepancies, and support cross-functional project execution.
•Collaborate with engineers and other professionals across project phases to meet contract requirements and safety standards.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma.
•Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-education experience in drafting and design support for electric utility substation projects (physical substation design and/or protection & control).
•Familiar with drafting and design support principles, practices, processes, methods and techniques.
•Familiar with relevant codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, with strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
