Job Summary

Lead the second line of defense for Technology Risk across American Express’ French businesses. You will refresh the Risk Appetite Framework, align Technology Risk metrics to Enterprise, provide credible challenge across cybersecurity, technology, data, AI, and business disruption risks, and oversee remediation. Serve as main point of contact for regulators, Audit, and leadership, manage governance/policy education and enforcement, and represent Technology Risk in key forums and board meetings.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in the Risk Appetite Framework refresh and align Technology Risk metrics between International Legal Entities and Enterprise.
•Provide credible challenge across cybersecurity, technology, data, AI, and business disruption risks in Legal Entity projects and change advisory forums.
•Act as main point of contact for Technology Risk for the Legal Entity, including regulator and Audit requests and oversight.
•Ensure Technology Risk policies and frameworks are educated, refreshed, and enforced where required; influence Enterprise frameworks for fit for purpose.
•Oversee remediation of risk issues/findings, lead regulatory change management oversight, and review IT/IS risk questionnaires submitted to regulators.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of leadership experience in risk management or a similar role.
•Strong business acumen with a risk-reward control perspective.
•Experience interacting with regulators and familiarity with the French regulatory landscape and requirements.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
•Fluency in English (verbal and written); advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
