Job Summary

Lead and deliver surface water assessments, drainage strategies, and design solutions across Australia, providing senior technical leadership in hydrological and hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment, and stormwater infrastructure design. Key Responsibilities

•Lead and deliver surface water assessments, drainage strategies, and design solutions across multiple sectors in Australia.
•Provide technical leadership for hydrological and hydraulic modelling, including 1D/2D flood modelling, flood risk assessment, stormwater infrastructure design, and water management studies.
•Support work winning by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, preparing proposals, and contributing to successful pursuits.
•Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary projects from planning and environmental assessment through concept, detailed design, and delivery with a focus on quality, commercial outcomes, and client satisfaction.
•Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, proposals, and design documentation for internal, client, and regulator-facing submissions, and mentor engineers and modellers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, ideally with postgraduate water resource management qualification.
•Strong consulting experience at Senior or Principal level with a track record in surface water engineering, project delivery, client engagement, and technical leadership.
•Recognised expertise in surface water design, drainage design, flood studies, flood modelling, floodplain management, stormwater management, and water quality assessment.
•Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tools such as RORB, XP-RAFTS, AWBM, DRAINS, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, and XP-SWMM/STORM, plus GIS capability with ArcGIS, QGIS or similar.
•Experience in civil and stormwater infrastructure design and contributing to work winning (proposal preparation, bid strategy, fee estimation, and client presentations).
