Job Summary

Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry for robust motor control systems, with a focus on 3-phase inverter and sensor/controller interfaces at the circuit-card level. Support circuit card development from requirements through integration testing, help define and drive schedule plans, and guide ECAD layout/routing and layer stackup under senior engineering oversight. Work with the Effector Analog & Power (EAP) team on power systems spanning concept to integration.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion and related analog circuitry for motor control systems.
•Develop and support circuit card-level drafting and design, including board-mounted power end-use applications.
•Advance circuit card development through requirements definition and initial integration testing.
•Define and drive schedules for circuit-level tasking to address schedule concerns.
•Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities and assist with layer stackup definition.

Key Requirements

•Requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.
•Experience designing, analyzing, testing, and/or simulating motor types such as brushed, BLDC, or PMSM.
•Experience with tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar.
•Analog electronics design experience including at least one of: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, filters (high/low/band pass), clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
•Experience working in a lab setting using tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency generators, power supplies, and/or Data Acquisition Systems.
