Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise mixing, milling operations, and mill employees to ensure Feed Quality and Safety program compliance.
  • •Direct ingredient receiving, grain drying, feed batching, pelleting, grinding, sampling, sanitation, and safety protocol implementation.
  • •Oversee quality assurance testing per protocol and monitor feed/ingredient inventories and feed delivery logistics.
  • •Supervise shift operators and coordinate with dispatch, customers, maintenance, vendors, procurement, and office personnel as needed.
  • •Support capital projects and equipment upgrades/expansion planning, drive continuous improvement, and ensure accurate operational reporting when the mill manager is unavailable.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Feed Manufacturing, Nutritional Sciences, or related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience).
  • •Experience acting as a lead through training, coaching, mentoring, or managing a process/project.
  • •Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • •Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • •Knowledge of order processing systems and ability to use email and spreadsheets; MainSaver program experience is helpful.
