Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and manage the town planning team successfully, working with senior colleagues to handle a growing workload.
  • •Lead and assist on key planning policy projects, including coordination and delivery of local plan evidence studies, strategic growth studies, infrastructure strategies, and other policy commissions.
  • •Represent the organization with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders through project work and attendance at conferences and networking events.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered successfully on budget and within programme timelines, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for seamless execution.
  • •Oversee deliverables from the planning policy team and uphold quality assurance and health and safety principles; contribute to business development and preparation of commercial tenders.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant relevant experience of leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • •Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body.
  • •Existing relationships with clients and local authorities, with strong client focus and interpersonal skills.
  • •Demonstrable experience in business development, including work winning and developing relationships with existing and new clients.
