Key Responsibilities

  • •Place purchase orders, resolve blocked invoices, and manage forecasting demand, capacity, and supply signals for incoming materials.
  • •Track high-risk components and supplier delivery performance, and communicate clearly to influence vendor and senior leadership decisions.
  • •Interpret engineering drawings and BOMs, and create sourcing strategies for mechanical custom and COTS hardware.
  • •Build a preferred supplier network to minimize cost and lead time; manage outsource fabrication projects and vendor performance.
  • •Author and manage contract documents and ensure supplier performance, including applying contract terms to business needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or engineering; or 5+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • •Experience with MRP/enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and managing bills of materials, work orders, and purchase orders.
  • •Experience with forecasting, demand planning, and lead time analysis.
  • •Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
  • •Knowledge of common manufacturing processes and machines (e.g., mills, lathes, waterjet, laser cutters, sheet metal fabrication) plus common material finishes/coatings.
