Job Summary

Perform digital radiographic (and related) non-destructive testing for composite and metal bond components in a Riverside, CA facility. Set up and operate NDT equipment (including ultrasonic inspections), calibrate test media, and follow work instructions and engineering drawings to inspect parts for conformance. Interpret results, document inspections, troubleshoot recurring issues, and partner with technical groups to develop and support new inspection techniques and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up and operate equipment to perform ultrasonic NDT inspections in accordance with approved work instructions.
•Plan and perform inspection sequences using verbal and written instructions such as procedures, technique sheets, engineering drawings, and work orders.
•Set up and operate tooling and equipment; make offsets/adjustments and perform check/calibrations of test process media to maintain test integrity.
•Perform inspection operations, interpret test results, identify non-conformance, and complete required documentation in line with policies, procedures, and specifications.
•Identify recurring inspection issues, recommend improvements, work with technical support groups to develop new techniques, and refer complex issues to Level III or the team leader.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in NDT digital radiographic inspection, or an associate degree with 3 years of experience in the same area.
•Documented required hours of formal training per Rohr Inc.’s procedure for Qualification & Certification of Nondestructive Test Personnel.
•Certified to at least level 2 in NDT radiographic inspection (digital and film).
•Experience with North Star Imaging equipment and software.
•Experience in other NDT methods such as ultrasonics and liquid penetrant.
