Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead an effective, coordinated national health-sector response with national and international community partners under the cluster approach.
  • •Provide participatory leadership and guidance on planning, monitoring, quality assurance, and reporting for health service delivery using HNO, HRP, and contingency planning.
  • •Lead data management strategies and coordinate closely with health information management teams and focal points to manage information sharing, monitoring, and reporting.
  • •Ensure alignment and mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues with national plans while complying with WHO norms, standards, and protocols.
  • •Support technical assistance for joint support missions and contribute to advocacy and resource mobilization efforts.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced university degree (master’s level or above) in epidemiology, public health, medical, or a closely related field.
  • •Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in emergency and humanitarian relief operations, including collaborative partnerships (with a significant part at the international level).
  • •Minimum of 3 years coordinating and managing health programmes in chronic or acute sudden-onset emergencies in national and international settings.
  • •In-depth knowledge of emergency relief policies and practices within the UN and its specialized agencies, donors, and national/international NGOs.
  • •Expert knowledge of English; demonstrated leadership, coordination, negotiation, and partnership-building in emergency settings.
