Job Summary

Drive and deliver construction equipment, products, and materials safely and on time from the Remus, MI facility. You’ll operate a Class B CDL vehicle and forklift, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs and documentation, and support accurate loading/unloading and yard readiness. Partner with shipping and store teams to ensure customer-ready deliveries, report issues promptly, and keep trucks and the yard clean, safe, and organized.

Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and company safety requirements.
•Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain regulatory logs (e.g., ELD), and maintain paperwork such as invoices and bills of lading.
•Safely transport and deliver loads on the required routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and resolving incorrect orders/deliveries with the manager.
•Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials, including maneuvering trucks/trailers into loading and unloading areas and following loading crew signals.
•Support yard operations by organizing trailers for efficient loading, assisting with inventory control, maintaining cleanliness, and performing equipment/maintenance and safety training compliance.

Key Requirements

•Possession and maintenance of a Commercial Driver's License (Class B) or a chauffeur's license as required by state regulations for the vehicle weight.
•Air Brake Endorsement.
•Pass and maintain required background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass and maintain a DOT physical for trucks over 10,000 lbs.
•Ability to operate a forklift and straight truck, including safely loading/unloading materials and pushing/pulling material from bins.
•Working knowledge of and ability to comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
