Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport vehicles, equipment, and Class IX materiel.
  • •Support equipment turn-in operations by hauling assets from Army units to the site or designated locations.
  • •Assist with loading, securing, and unloading cargo using chains, binders, straps, and blocking/bracing.
  • •Perform PMCS before, during, and after operations, and report deficiencies for repair coordination.
  • •Complete shipping/transport documentation and comply with DOT, Army safety standards, and HAZMAT rules while safeguarding government property and reporting incidents.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL—Class A or B as required).
  • •3–5 years of heavy truck driving experience; prior Army or contractor logistics experience preferred.
  • •Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and Army transportation regulations (AR 55-355, AR 710-2, DTR 4500.9-R).
  • •Ability to safely operate heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and MHE; strong attention to load securement and documentation.
  • •Must have a Real ID and be able to travel within the U.S. when needed.
