Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspections of property damage within the assigned territory; prepare estimates and address coverage questions and litigation.
  • •Set and maintain reserves; review reports and materials; determine coverage and claim value; issue or decline payment; negotiate claims with plaintiff attorneys when necessary.
  • •Document claim files and submit reports for closure.
  • •Recognize subrogation situations and initiate appropriate action.
  • •Service the assigned territory to conclusion and assist the claims supervisor, including representing the company at legal proceedings and participating on the Catastrophe Team when required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent required (Property Adjuster Trainee) or High school/GED plus claims handling experience (Property Adjuster I/II), or a bachelor’s degree depending on level.
  • •Must live in the assigned territory unless a change is approved by the company.
  • •Willingness to pursue and complete Technical Learning Center training required; successful completion of AIC 33 and AIC 35 is preferred.
  • •Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licenses.
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
