Job Summary

Lead NDT examinations of welds and materials, coordinating with Quality Inspectors to ensure compliance with project plans, codes, and specifications. Provide expert assessment of results, data acquisition, and reporting while guiding a team through established inspection procedures and continuous process improvements in an energy/oil & gas context.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform NDT examination of welds and materials by methods such as PAUT, TOFD, PT, MT, ET, RT, MUT in accordance with project NDT plans, procedures, codes, and contractual specs
•Liaise with Quality Inspector to determine completion of tasks and report conforming/non-conforming work for rectification
•Maintain NDT equipment and calibration records and ensure proper maintenance
•Set up equipment prior to inspection and calibrate systems (static and dynamic) daily
•Prepare accurate inspection reports using approved report formats and evaluate weld quality against acceptance criteria

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or Degree of relevant background
•5+ years in the NDE method they are being hired for ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II qualification
•Proficient in the use of computer and Microsoft programs
•Experienced in the use of the applicable preparation software, i.e., ES Beam tool
•Be occupationally qualified to internationally recognized schemes to determine competency (i.e., PCN, CSWIP, ASNT, etc.) requirements
