Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the full lifecycle of customer issues for China strategic accounts on Alibaba Cloud, from intake and reproduction through resolution and post-incident follow-up.
  • •Triage, classify, and track incoming cases, identify recurring patterns, and feed insights back into knowledge base articles, runbooks, and product feedback.
  • •Diagnose and resolve issues across SQL performance, schema/table engine design, replication and sharding, ingestion pipelines, materialized views, resource utilization, and cluster operations.
  • •Advise customers on ClickHouse best practices, capacity planning, and configuration tuning for cloud workloads.
  • •Escalate complex or product-level issues to Core Database and Cloud Engineering teams while acting as the single point of contact until resolution.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience in technical support, DBA, SRE, or database engineering for enterprise customers, ideally with on-call and SLA-driven environments.
  • •Experience supporting strategic customer POCs with Alibaba and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • •Technical breadth in topics such as ClickHouse DBMS (or similar), OLAP, cloud/SaaS, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system/network administration, and big data/analytics.
  • •Production experience operating ClickHouse or other SQL databases, including the ability to write and optimize complex SQL.
  • •Strong fundamentals for debugging production systems (logs, metrics, network, storage, performance profiling) and distributed database internals (replication, consensus, sharding, consistency trade-offs).
