Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently conduct site inspections in the selected discipline and verify tested results are correct.
  • •Review design information, tolerances, agreed methods of working, and assess compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
  • •Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance and produce high-standard documentation including site observation reports.
  • •Liaise with contractors’ commissioning team professionally, carry out side observations on quality of installation, and participate in required meetings/workshops.
  • •Monitor installation, submittals, and use of engineering tools per commissioning guidelines; track task completion with lookaheads/trackers and keep a daily diary of events and decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold an MEP/building services engineering degree (BSc Mechanical Engineering, BSc Electrical Engineering, or BSc Building Services Engineering).
  • •Or hold an MEP/building services engineering college diploma (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
  • •Or hold an MEP/building services engineering college certificate (e.g., ONC, OND, or equivalent; or MEP trade time served + City & Guilds).
  • •Minimum 5–7 years of job-related experience depending on the qualification level (degree/diploma/certificate).
  • •Experience applying commissioning methods to independently conduct inspections and assess test procedures and recorded results against specifications and codes of practice.
