Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, validate, and process payroll data to ensure accurate submissions.
  • •Accurately process fortnightly payroll end-to-end and ensure compliance for Australian Retail, including month/year-end processing, superannuation, and payroll tax.
  • •Provide employee-focused guidance on payroll inquiries and develop communication to improve understanding of payroll processes.
  • •Manage payroll providers and collaborate with HR, Workforce Planning, leadership, and managers to support accurate workforce data and payroll outcomes.
  • •Analyze payroll trends and compliance risks, review payroll reports, and drive continuous improvement through process reviews and automation/digital solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
  • •Proven end-to-end payroll processing experience.
  • •Strong experience using Dayforce (essential) and tools such as Preceda, SuccessFactors, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Microsoft Copilot.
  • •Experience managing payroll compliance and legislative requirements, including Australian payroll legislation, awards, and NES.
  • •Knowledge of NZ payroll legislation (highly desirable) and strong attention to detail with discretion for sensitive employee information.
