Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare designs and specifications in accordance with Design Manual Roads Bridges (DMRB).
  • •Deliver utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies for UK road schemes of varying scales.
  • •Work on multiple projects concurrently and effectively manage time.
  • •Develop and maintain strong client relationships and communicate technical details effectively.
  • •Support development of Graduate Engineers and Apprentices and produce technical reports and site visits.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • •Highways design experience in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), TSRGD, Traffic Signs Manual and Local Transport Notes.
  • •Proficiency in design and drafting tools like Civils3D/AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM environments and CAD QA/QC processes.
  • •Familiarity with BIM environments such as ProjectWise, Autodesk Forma, and other CDEs; beneficialOpenRoads Designer/MicroStation experience.
  • •Interest or capability in digital automation, data-driven design, or computational tools, including Python, C++, Dynamo or similar; working towards professional qualifications such as IEng.
