Support right-of-way (ROW) field disbursement by processing check payments, reviewing payees against contractual obligations, and reconciling ROW financial records. Partner with field agents and auditors, provide training on check processing and controls, and conduct periodic audits while driving process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

•Process and manage ROW field disbursement checks to ensure timely, accurate bank deposits.
•Review, interpret, and process payments in line with contractual obligations and accurate payee issuance.
•Reconcile and maintain ROW payment financial records, including journal entries, in accordance with accounting standards.
•Ensure compliance with internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, and corporate policies.
•Work with field agents for proper disbursement procedures, deliver training, and perform periodic audits with auditors as needed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
•2+ years of experience in financial operations, accounting, right-of-way management, or a related field.
•Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, and SOX regulations.
•Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
•Proficiency in ERP systems (Infor Lawson preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
