Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle safely and in compliance with state and federal transportation laws, following required routes and observing traffic and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads in a timely manner, maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas, and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods using specialized equipment as needed, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain and deliver required delivery documentation (signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other paperwork) to the appropriate staff after route completion.
  • •Perform routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions; arrange trailers in shipping yards.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license (depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle’s weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations, including a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Maintain safe driving and route compliance with all applicable transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
