Key Responsibilities

  • •Embed with ISV engineering teams to adapt to their codebase, practices, release cadence, and product/deployment constraints.
  • •Design and build MongoDB-backed product capabilities including integrations, data models, indexes/queries, persistence layers, and migration tooling.
  • •Implement coexistence and migration solutions such as synchronization, CDC, dual writes, consistency handling, refactoring, validation, and controlled cutover.
  • •Design and validate production-ready solutions covering performance, scalability, resilience, observability, security, and operational readiness across Atlas, Enterprise Advanced, Kubernetes private clouds, and on-prem.
  • •Enable partner engineers through collaborative development, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing while working with internal teams to resolve design questions and support boundaries.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience building and operating production applications.
  • •Strong application-side expertise with MongoDB (data modeling, access patterns, aggregation, indexing, transactions, change streams, query/transaction semantics).
  • •Application-level fluency with a relational database (data modeling, access patterns, drivers/ORMs, indexing, transactions, query planning, isolation assumptions).
  • •Experience integrating a new database into a large production codebase and migrating workloads (persistence abstractions, CDC/dual-write patterns, refactoring, validation, incremental rollout).
  • •Strong coding ability in at least two languages (e.g., Java, C#/.NET, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go) plus APIs, distributed systems, containers, and deployment environments.
