Job Summary

Welcome guests to the Vinyl Room promptly and professionally, manage the flow of patrons through seating and wait times, and ensure a great guest experience. You’ll place menus and show marketing materials, answer questions about the menu, music hall, and artists, and handle VIP/foundation access and reservation lists. You’ll also coordinate with door host, kitchen, and managers, keep the host area clean and organized, and support other departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Greet guests promptly and professionally, control guest flow, and direct guests to appropriate waiting areas.
•Collect guest details (party size, description, arrival time, child needs when applicable) and estimate/quote accurate wait times.
•Seat guests, place menus, answer questions about the menu, music hall, and artists, and ensure guest satisfaction.
•Support VIP/foundation access by managing reservation lists, guest lists for special events, and checking foundation membership cards and photo ID.
•Maintain host area cleanliness and organization, follow safety/sanitation standards, and communicate with door host, kitchen, and Vinyl Room managers to ensure proper operations.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma and familiarity with music mall and retail operations.
•Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training certification (or equivalent) as required.
•Working knowledge of restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, and problem solving.
•Strong diplomacy, interpersonal, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
•Ability to seat guests in a high-volume restaurant, with punctuality/attendance and adherence to sanitation and safety standards.
