Job Summary

Oversee avionics electrical maintenance for RSAF aircraft, ensuring tasks are certified, scheduled work is planned and prioritized, and progress is tracked against the maintenance programme. Lead and supervise engineering personnel, maintain strict tool control, and ensure compliance with approved data and procedures. Manage technical issue investigations and accident/incident events, coordinate demands and test equipment availability, support internal/external audits, and provide on-the-job theory and practical training.

Key Responsibilities

•First stage/independent certification of completed maintenance tasks as required, including Red-X clearance.
•Plan and coordinate scheduled maintenance activities on and off aircraft to meet the maintenance programme and RSAF operational requirements.
•Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved data, standards, and MOE procedures; prioritize tasks by shop and aircraft schedule.
•Monitor and report daily progress against the programme via the agreed IT-based application and verbal briefs; escalate issues impacting the aircraft programme.
•Supervise personnel to maintain quality standards, ensure proper authorization/certification, run tool control, and provide on-the-job theory and practical training.

Key Requirements

•A recognised technical qualification at NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or a technical apprenticeship acceptable to M&CA.
•Extensive post-qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment, including formal workplace training applied to related work.
•Experience and/or training on Tornado avionics/electrical system testing, plus relevant type training (“Q” Course) if required.
•Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to supervise engineering personnel.
•Saudi or expatriate must obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to starting the role.
•Holds 2nd signature.
