Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and development of fiber optic network architectures (long-haul, backbone, metro, FTTx, ODN).
  • •Perform optical link engineering and calculations including power budget, attenuation, dispersion, and splice/connector loss.
  • •Prepare detailed design packages and deliverables such as splicing diagrams, OTDR acceptance criteria, BoQs, and as-built documentation.
  • •Support installation, testing, and commissioning (OTDR, OLTS, iOLM), including troubleshooting critical fiber faults and defining repair procedures.
  • •Coordinate with civil, electrical, ITS, and ICT teams and ensure compliance with international telecom standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer & Communications Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Minimum 10 years of experience in fiber optic network design and implementation.
  • •Expertise in optical and transport technologies including PON, DWDM, CWDM, SDH, and MPLS.
  • •Proficiency with fiber design tools, GIS platforms, AutoCAD, and OTDR analysis.
  • •Experience delivering large-scale telecom or smart city infrastructure projects.
