Key Responsibilities

  • •Design enclosures and mechanisms for harsh environments, including extreme temperatures, marine conditions, and MIL STD requirements.
  • •Produce CAD designs in SolidWorks and translate them into technical drawings and build guides legible to production, quality, and manufacturing teams.
  • •Inspect drawings before release for manufacture and use attention to detail during prototype testing.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders within and external to the engineering department to develop reliable products and production methods.
  • •Assist production troubleshooting and justify design decisions using calculations, analysis, and documentation.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • •CAD experience in SolidWorks (3D modelling, 2D technical drawings, BoM production).
  • •Knowledge of material properties and manufacturing techniques, including plating methods, coatings, and fasteners.
  • •Ability to travel between Ware (main office) and Sandy (machine shop) on short notice.
  • •Ability to design for manufacture and assembly, including familiarity with IP ratings (e.g., IP67) and performing tests to support product quality.
